Do you realise what toners do for our skin? Do you know they balance the pH of our skin and help in controlling acne (well the minor ones) ? Also, they help in removing dead skin cells (toners with glycolic acid) which further helps in preventing ingrown hair. Yesssss!!! All of this can be achieved with just one single product. TONER!!!

So let’s move on with today’s review of one such product.

What they claim – Best suited for: Oily | Acne-prone | Combination skin

Not recommended for: Cystic acne | Dry skin | Extremely sensitive skin

Best-selling alcohol-free toner from Plum. Make this an essential part of your skin care regimen for clear, smooth, well-toned skin. With green tea and glycolic acid to tighten enlarged pores, to control blemishes and acne (pimples) and gentle exfoliation of dead cells. 100% alcohol-free!

Features :

  • Rich in green tea extracts that helps prevent acne.
  • Tones, hydrates and clarifies skin.
  • Glycolic acid helps weed out dead cells.
  • Smoother fresher skin.
  • Helps keep acne away.
  • Hand-picked non-comedogenic ingredients.
  • Perfect for oily and combination skin.
  • Does not dry face like alcohol-based toners.

How I apply – Take some product on palm, rub your hands together. Tap on the face avoiding eyes and lips. Let it air dry and then apply serum/moisturiser. Another way to apply is to pour it on a cotton swab and swipe your face with it in upward outward direction. I generally do it the first way.
Color – Plum Green Tea Alcohol Free Toner is completely translucent and looks like water.

Texture – Runny and watery.

Fragrance – Mild. Nothing that would bother.

Ingredients – Aqua, Glycerin, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor oil, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Sodium Gluconate, Phenoxyethanol, Glycolic acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Fragrance

Packaging & Quantity – Plum Green Tea Alcohol Free Toner comes in a white plastic bottle with the usual green plum text on it. You can completely screw open the cap(not required). However, for daily use you can press to open the cap. This did not work really well for me while travelling though. The lid must have been pressed by some other product in the bag and it completely drained out *sob sob. You get 200 ml of product.
